Venus and Doing What You Love in a Career

In the June/July issue of "The Mountain Astrologer," Dana Gerhardt has an article, "Lessons in Astrology as Magic: Part Six: Do What You Love." In it, she writes:

"I picked up a self-help book.... It required listing everything I enjoyed doing or thought I did well.... I now see that the ten ingredients for my ideal career [as an astrologer] all coincide with the desires of my Venus. She's in Scorpio, in the 3rd house, and conjunct Mercury.... She's quincunx Jupiter.... And she's trine Uranus...."

So how about you?

Are you currently in something that you think of as your ideal career?

If not, would you like to identify a career that would be ideal for you?

And how about the location, etc. of Venus in your birth chart?

NOTE: If you don’t have a copy of your birth chart, then you can enter your birth information and get a free chart at http://www.astro.com

What sign and house is she in?

What other major points does she aspect?

And what might any or all of that indicate, in terms of ingredients of a career that might be ideal for you?

If you'd like help deciphering all of this, then post a comment below, and I'll do what I can to help.

For example, in Gerhardt's case, she sees her Venus conjunct as relating to her love of writing and deep conversations; Venus quincux Jupiter, relating to her liking for "decoding symbols"; and Venus trine Uranus, relating to her liking for determining her own schedule.
